Dr. Tonya Loken, ND, APRN, FNP-C is a naturopathic doctor and certified family nurse practitioner who has been in private practice in Fargo, North Dakota for six years. She is a North Dakota native who graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of North Dakota. She went on to obtain her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and her Masters of Science in Whole Food Nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine, in Portland, OR. After starting her private practice, she started her journey to become a family nurse practitioner and has been combining the best that naturopathic and allopathic medicine has to offer since 2021. \r\n\r\nDr. Tonya has special interest in hormone health, thyroid dysfunction, and preventative medicine. She believes the body has an innate ability to heal itself and strives to help her patients achieve lifelong health. With her medical philosophy strongly rooted in nature cure and the body’s ability to heal itself, the medical terrain during the covid-19 pandemic didn’t align with her philosophy and what she knows to be true of medicine and health. During the pandemic Dr. Tonya was able to help many patients stay healthy, recover from Covid-19 successfully without hospital intervention, and regain health after Covid-19 infection.\r\nDr. Tonya and her husband David have been married since 2016 and now have three wonderful boys (Harrison, Henrik, Hudson). She loves raising her family in the place she grew up and sharing her Christian faith and community with her young family.
