Biography

Terry Lakin, DO, MPH, is a distinguished medical professional who holds board certifications in Family Medicine and Occupational & Environmental Medicine. He currently resides in Kansas, maintaining a private practice that extends across Colorado and Oklahoma. Dr. Lakin's unwavering dedication to the field of medicine spans nearly three decades, with his medical journey commencing in 1993. His foundational education led him to Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in 1993, setting the stage for his remarkable career. Dr. Lakin's exceptional commitment to service is evident through his 17 years of rigorous Army training and dedicated service in various assignments across different locations and levels of responsibility. Dr. Lakin's pursuit of excellence continued as he completed his Family Medicine Residency at Ft. Bragg, NC, in 1999. His thirst for knowledge and desire to contribute further to healthcare led him to Bethesda, MD, where he completed an Occupational & Environmental Medicine Residency and earned a Masters in Public Health at Uniformed Services University in 2007. During his military career, Dr. Lakin achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was even selected for promotion to Colonel. His commitment to the principles of the Constitution compelled him to demand that his commander-in-chief validate his eligibility, but regrettably, he was denied the means of defense or discovery. Dr. Lakin's unwavering principles led him to accept and complete the punitive sentence directed by the Army, a testament to his steadfast commitment to his beliefs and values.
