Biography
Dr. Emily Jane Gibson, MD board-certified family and sports medicine physician with a strong interest in functional medicine. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Missouri, her medical degree the Ross University, completed her Family Medicine residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, TX and completed her Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Dr. Gibson believes in maintaining an active lifestyle and teaches a spin class twice per week at a local gym in Kansas City. She also enjoys organic gardening, cooking and ballroom dancing. During the COVID pandemic, Dr. Gibson lost her job after her employer refused to honor her religious exemption to the covid shot. Dr. Gibson’s wellness philosophy is to emphasize a healthy lifestyle and diet. If necessary, she will prescribe pharmaceuticals, procedures or surgery but only if the more positive, less-invasive, safer health-oriented alternatives fail to reach the goals you want. She believes that Jesus Christ is the supreme physician, it is her hope that with His guiding hand she will be able to help you live the happiest and healthiest life that you imagine.
