Deborah Diener, RN, BSN, CLNC
Deborah Joan Diener is a highly experienced Legal Nurse Consultant, healthcare professional, and child protection advocate with a diverse and impactful career. Since 2009, Deb has offered freelance legal nurse consulting services, where she specializes in analyzing medical records and providing comprehensive case evaluations to support legal proceedings.
From 2018 to 2023, Deb worked with Child USA, a national nonprofit think tank focused on child abuse and neglect. During her tenure, she conducted research on the health consequences of child maltreatment and played a key role in developing educational content aimed at protecting vulnerable children.
As the President and Executive Director of Children Matter, Inc., Deb has been instrumental in advocating for child protection, developing training programs, and influencing legislation. Her work contributed to the enactment of North Carolina’s Safe Child Act, and she has supported child victims in court while working alongside law enforcement to ensure their safety.
With a background that also includes senior roles in healthcare management and nursing, as well as service in the US Army Nurse Corps where she achieved the rank of Major, Deb’s career exemplifies leadership, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to healthcare and child protection.
As the Director of Nursing at GoldCare, Deb oversees the development and leadership of the Registered Nurse (RN) platform. Her role includes guiding and directing GoldCare nurses to ensure the highest standard of patient care and member support. She is deeply involved in shaping the nursing framework that powers GoldCare’s services, ensuring that nurses are well-prepared, well-supported, and able to provide the best possible care for members.

Her extensive career in nursing, combined with her experience in legal consulting and advocacy, allows her to bring a unique perspective to GoldCare. She is passionate about growing GoldCare in every way possible, ensuring that its nursing team and services evolve to meet the needs of its members.
In her free time, Deb enjoys playing piano, a talent she has cultivated since childhood, along with composing original pieces. She also loves gardening, reading, dancing, and spending quality time with her family, including her three children, eight grandchildren, and her 17-year-old Yorkie, Princess. Family gatherings are a highlight of her life, and she finds joy in coaching, teaching, and spending time with loved ones.
